Application to join the 2021 Brain Bee Competition is open from now till 8th October, 2021.
The Brain Bee is a nationwide 2-stage quiz competition to test students’ knowledge and understanding of how the brain functions in health and disease.
In Stage 1, all persons who apply will be invited to an online preparatory session on either the 14th (for Junior High Students) or 15th (for Senior High Students) of October.
After this session, they will take an online test to select the top 16 performers (8 for JHS and 8 for SHS) who will proceed to stage 2.
Stage 2 of the brain bee will be a 3-day quiz competition to select winners at both the JHS and SHS level. This stage will be hosted in Accra between the 25-27th of October.
In between the quiz, participants will have the opportunity to interact with and receive tutoring from professional members of the Ghana Neuroscience Society on careers in Neuroscience.
All 16 students will receive souvenirs and certificates. The winners will receive additional awards at the 16th Conference of the Society of Neuroscientist of Africa 2021 ( 27th – 30th October) in front of the global neuroscience community.
